Are you working or planning to work in aged care in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom or another English speaking country? Then this course is for you.

Aged Care English is an online educational course for aged care facility and individual support professionals who want to improve their English communication in a work environment.

The course includes free online meetings with a degree-qualified English teacher whenever required by the student.

Incorporating career-specific vocabulary and contexts, each unit offers step-by-step instruction that immerses students in the four key language components: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

Aged Care English addresses topics including health, personal care, workplace communication, emotional health, common diseases and equipment.

The course is organised into three levels of difficulty and offers a minimum of 400 vocabulary terms and phrases.

Every unit includes a test of reading comprehension, vocabulary, and listening skills, and leads students through written and oral production.

How Our Courses Work

There is no payment upfront. You pay by invoice later after a video call with our staff to decide whether the course suits your need.

After enrolling, you will be sent a workbook and online access to our Learning Management System (LMS).

The LMS includes videos, audio recordings, reading passages and interactive exercises.

You work through each of the 45 units in turn.

After each unit, your teacher will check your work online.

We will mark each unit and give you feedback, usually within two business days.

You can arrange unlimited 15 minute video calls with us to discuss any questions you may have.

Your teacher will be degree qualified in Adult Education and Teaching English as a Second Language, and will have extensive business experience.

Please note: This is an English course only. It does not give any licences or professional qualifications in aged care.

After enrolling, you will receive an email asking for your address, so we can send you the workbook. It may take up to five business days to receive the workbook, depending on which country you are in.
