From 2018 to 2019, Advance Institute of Business contracted with Registered Training Organisation BSI Learning to upgrade BSI’s Foundation Skills programs for prisoners in correctional centres throughout Australia.
These were Certificates I & II in Foundations Skills, delivered inside prisons in every state of Australia. The aim was to teach prisoners to read and write, with the view that this would increase their chances of obtaining gainful employment upon their release. This in turn would reduce the chances of them reoffending.
Part of the upgrade involved going into correctional institutions to see first hand how the programs could be adapted. This was not without some challenges, but they were overcome.
This was just one of many Registered Training Organisations that Advance Institute of Business contracted with throughout Australia and China over the past 28 years.
