From 2015 to 2017, Advance Institute of Business contracted with the College of English Education and Training Australia (CEETA) to design nationally recognised English language training courses and to deliver English language courses to African refugees.
The courses designed included the Certificates I, II, III and IV in Spoken and Written English, which were then delivered to the African refugees. We also acted in the role of Director of Studies for CEETA, writing funding submissions and coordinating teachers.
The interesting thing about many of the African students was that most could speak five to seven languages, but couldn’t read or write in any of them. Apparently writing isn’t so common in Africa, but language diversity is.
This was just one of many Registered Training Organisations that Advance Institute of Business has partnered with in Australia and China.
