In 2022, Advance Institute of Business partnered with Shada Migration and Education Services to set up a campus of TAFE in Tehran, Iran. This was done with the cooperation of TAFE Queensland, Federal Minister for Skills and Training Brendan O’Connor and the Iranian Embassy in Canberra.
The project was planned to qualify Iranian trades professionals with nationally recognised Australian qualifications so they could legally travel to Australia to help address the skills shortage.
This involved travelling to Iran and meeting with potential partner universities. While the initial approaches made good progress, the worsening social and political situation in Iran forced us to put the project on hold indefinitely.
